Little Remedies® Launches New Book for Parents – A Word From Our Author
Written by October 30th, 2017on
I always knew I wanted to be a mom. It’s the one thing in my life I never questioned. Many things in life are hard: work, finances, marriage, finding something to watch on Netflix. But loving my kids is effortless.
For me, that’s the greatest gift of parenting. Everything flows out of that love. Even when I’m tired and don’t feel that I can answer one more question, meet one more need, somehow because of that love, I find the strength.
I’m not here to kid you: Parenting is hard. When my boys cry, don’t sleep, and have coughs, colds, and fevers, it’s stressful. A wise woman told me once, “A mom is only as happy as her least happy child.” I extend that to “A mom is only as healthy as her least healthy child” as well. When your baby has a cold, you probably have sympathy sniffles. Plus because of Baby’s propensity for sharing germs with Mom, you might catch the cold yourself!
Through all of my boys’ tummy troubles, sniffles, colds, and fevers, one of the other greatest gifts of motherhood has always come to my rescue—the “tribe” of mom friends I’ve met over the years. Many of my friends are the mothers of my sons’ friends. Because they’re right here in the trenches with me, going through similar experiences with their own children, we share stories, laugh, support each other, and offer each other tips and advice. I’ve found women in general, and other moms in particular, are very generous with advice and ideas.
On the flip side, when I can share advice that helps another mom, I feel like I’m on top of the world. That’s why I’m so delighted to be a part of Little Remedies®’ mission to help parents. Together with the terrific team at Little Remedies® and award-winning pediatrician Dr. Sue, we’ve created an incredible resource—A Little More WisdomTM. This book is filled with top tips to help parents caring for their babies’ health and wellness from day one.
To create A Little More WisdomTM, we surveyed more than 200 moms, gathering their best tips and advice. We also worked with pediatrician Dr. Sue to collect her best advice from more than 25 years in practice. Then we blended all of that together to create the ideal combination of doctor-approved, mom-tested advice. And it’s all beautifully illustrated by children’s book illustrator Laura Zarrin. A Little More WisdomTM covers the most common challenges parents face during their babies’ first years, including crying, colds, coughs, fevers, and tummy troubles. It even offers the best gear for babies, top travel tips, and sleep advice.
I’m honored to be a part of the team to gift A Little More WisdomTM to you. You can download the book here–for free!
